Life presents in a different manner for each of us.
No two of us sees it the same, nor are our experiences alike in any other than the broadest patterns and cycles. And yet, there is a simultaneity of experiential Beingness that connects us, that allows us to co-resonate to larger and deeper Truths, no matter our individual or cultural truths.
That empathic ability to understand others transcends specism and encompasses the natural kingdom. Scientists may call it an evolutionary tactic related to an ability to interpret the external world contextually, to employ “fight or flight”, to find food, to secure the safest space for our family and children. Mystics and spiritually-inclined folk may call it the expression of soul, the empathic ability to feel compassion based upon a shared experience of consciousness, inter-connected sub-conscious avataric imagos, Higher Selves and Names of God, gods and goddesses, As Above, So Below, As Within, As Without.
No matter the perspective of the Experiencers, what we all share in this journey of consciousness is the deeper desire to understand, to make sense of our individuated journeys in the context of oceanic humanity, for it seems that where my sister has gone, eventually shall you, what our brother has experienced, in some manner, so shall I.
The humanistic perspective that intuits the material equality of men and women across the gamut of experience states that we all have the same manner of experience and we all share the same level of understanding, perceptually, making us all equal in every aspect. And yet, our lived reality tells us something different. It shows us that we all have different abilities and express ourselves in unique manners, quite unlike others. That we each bring something individual to this shared experience called life. That some of us have chemical imbalances that cause our perceptions to skew one way or another, that others of us lack certain capacities of empathy and compassion that, again, make our lived experiences quite different.
This says nothing about our equality as incarnate beings living our lives in the world. Each of us on this planet and in this solar system and within this galaxy born and consciously expressing unique perspectives is just as worthy as all others currently living or not. No human is more important than any cow, no ant is more worthy than the aphids they milk for sustenance. Each being has its purpose and whether or not we agree with that purpose, there it is, all the same.
The world is what it is for a reason and our railing against the reality in favor of higher conceptions of Beingness are not useless, but are perhaps memories of futures not yet born, or galaxies a long time ago and far away, or even existing expressions of collective gnosis in alternate timelines or universes vying for reality expression right Here, right Now.
All expressions of potentiality are valid.
No matter how “pie-in-the-sky” they may seem. Each instance of correspondence and shared belief builds from the immaterial which coalesces into materiality the more viable the thought-form becomes. This is how worlds are created as well as why, because All Things Must Be. If it can be thought, it will come to fruition.
This is the promise of Being.
Of Creation itself. In an infinite Multiverse, with endless universes born of differing initial conditions, of multiple Dimensions of Time and Space stacked like cards, of Densities of Consciousness blending one into the next, our current levels of understanding cannot be other than lacking, considering the sheer immensity of the canvas, the impossibility of comprehending consciously the meaning of the Infinite and the Eternal.
All we can do is what we do.
Daily. Living our lives in the cocoon of our individuated and collective understandings. Seeking to be the change that we seek in the world, to manifest our highest possibilities in conjunction with our duties to family and clan, to humanity itself and within this greater context, understanding that both Good and Evil are necessary expressions of the journey and coming to terms with that.
Easier said than done.
But it must be done, by those charged with being the change. Making the difference. Knowing whether or not one is of that ilk is an internal conversation that we each must have with ourselves. And upon determining the answer to the question, committing to the path of manifesting the chosen reality here, upon the material plane, no matter the barriers and conflicts that threaten.
Because that is the deal we make from the moment we consciously become aware of ourselves in this life. Every obstacle encountered between that moment and self-realization is a step along the path of enlightenment. Whether that step is down, further into the Darkness – and consciousness densification – or up, higher into the Light – and consciousness expansion – we are fulfilling our reason for Being and are each Beloved of the All, which is Polarity, the Dark and the Light combined and every potentiality in-between.
